I think that's just a false positive, but you could check out that link there
VMware Player: Run Windows 7, Chrome OS - Free Download for a Virtual PC
Vmware player is fully compatible with 8 DP and i'll promise you that it's safe.
Hi Pegasus01,
The warning is a general one covering any downloaded .exe file - I downloaded Virtualbox from the same address as you and it's fine.

Hello Pegasus,
Yep, it's just a false positive. Virtual Box and VMware Player are both perfectly safe to use.

I ran virtual box,

How To Install Windows 8 On VirtualBox
clicked setting, system,
accelelation tab did not work.
and
followed through instructions,
black screen.
downloaded 32 bit win8 iso from this site;
Windows Metro Style Apps Developer Downloads
and
my netbook is HP Mini 110 with atom n455.
Pegasus,
A netbook really isn't powerfull enough to run a virtual machine on. According to the HP link below, the HP Mini 110 only has 1 GB of RAM, so that's really not enough for a virtual machine and you current OS to share. This is going to be why you got that.

Practically yes, but you need a dvd too. Burn GRUB loader to the disc, and then boot up using usb stick.
