Fix for vmware 8.0 / vmware player 4.0 on w8 x-64

Hi all
After a bit of googling found the fix

This guy solved it -- works fine Now I can uset W8 x-64 on a Desktop with 16GB (I must have VMware working)

16GB of RAM or a 16GB vmware partition?

16 GB RAM on main desktop computer

Virtual Machines for normal users / developers don't have to be very large - even Virtual servers -- I'm running some XP virtual machines of of only around 640 MB -- since these VM's are only used for specific legacy apps they are fine.
BTW to add your user name to the _vmware_ group go into control panel and choose administrative tools.

Find the fix for vmware player tools installing and working with Win 8 x64, then I'll be impressed..
