What will happen to XP mode? Will it live on in Windows 8?

I want to see if anyone has heard of Microsofts plan with XP mode found in Windows 7. I do not use it however it would be nice to know what will happen to it. Thanks.

Even if XP mode isn't going to be supported by M$, we will still be able to use it as a regular VM

To be honest I don't really use any windows XP programs any more, so it won't really be a big issue for me if it's not included. Windows 8 master race!

It should be an optional add on instead of standard as the majority of users don't use it.

Virtual drive programs are developing quickly so this shouldn't be an issue.

I think they will probably actually start excluding it from Home and Starter editions, and probably just include it in Professional and Ultimate editions... That makes sense, right?

Yeah, I guess, considering that's the way it is with Win7 and provided MS decides to release Win8 with all those flavors.

Nice to you around these parts, Avalon.

Microsoft have been tight liped on what it is to include in the different version of Win 8, they might keep to woo the people who are still using XP, which there are a lot. But we won't know until Microsoft release the beta vesion of win 8.
