forgotten password

hi i bought a new computer a few months ago i set it up with just the password and new user name , i had the intensions of installing win 10 , im using my old pc . i tried to log into it yesterday not been on it for a while maybe once or twice and ...... it is saying wrong password ive tried quite a few i clicked on forgotten password but ,,, it is saying about a reset disc i havent got one , i would be more than greatful for any advice , i cant get access to anything

I remembered my password as i wrote this message I thought I had deleted it . I only wanted to know if there was a way to find it , nothing untoward , a genuine question
