Solved Change another's account type

When signed in as an admin, how can I change another user's account type from local to Microsoft? I saw how to change my own. Thanks.

You would need to currently be signed in to the account that you want to switch. You cannot do it from within another account.

For some reason, I don't have the Switch to Microsoft Account box. I'm using 8.1.

Are you signed in to the built-in "Administrator" account?

If so, then that would be why since it can only be a local account.

Should I change the account types to administrators before updating them to MS?

Ok. I see there was no button to switch to ms because it was "already connected". I'm connected now and have Family Safety set up, but it seems to only be applying to my WIN10 pc and not my WIN8.1. It says it applies to WIN10 pcs. Thi part will be for a new thread. Thanks for your help.
