You know where I was headed right? I one had the programs change that to admin. The one negative with SSD's is deleted is gone, unless there is a file somewhere that has an .old as a backup,. Maybe Shawn or Kari can help.
I found this, but I just don't know: Find Out How to Recover a Deleted or Lost User Profile in Windows XP
I'll keep on trying but I think it's a lost cause, checked some articles from MS and all the are talking about is recovering file lost with account but settings or account itself no.
I think you're right. I couldn't find anything in the windows folder(unhidden) either. NTFS backs up everything, Windows backs up everything, it all leaves a lot of cruft, but dang, when you need something, poof!!! it's not there.(like a restore point)
Ok I gotta hit the sack now(early shift tomorrow). If you do get it resolved tonight, post and I'll see it at 04:00 when I get up for work.
And are you up and running again Mike, or do you still have to wait to reactivate those programs?
Have you read John's thread? They are going to come faster now, but not every day.
According to Microsoft:
. We’re deciding how long to let each build stay with Windows Insiders so you can really exercise them and send feedback on any problems that you’re hitting. I know many of you have said you’d love daily builds, but it is actually important sometimes to get a few days on a build so that all of the code that does deferred work (like OneDrive sync, search indexing, background updating, etc.) can run and we can get feedback and error reports.
