Solved Allow std users to install software from usb

Hi

I have trouble to grant standard users the right to run / install software from usb device. We do not want them to have all admin access to the computer, and I've tried to use privileged user group with no luck. Any suggestion how to solve this without giving the user full admin rights?

Welcome to the forum.

By design only members of the administrators group can install applications. There are some exceptions but this relates to the application, not who is installing it. Installing applications requires a wide range of privileges that only administrators have.

I think you need to rethink your problem and devise a more workable solution.
