Solved Forgot password windows 8.1:can access with my fingerprint

Basically, I had reasons to make really weird passwords because someone know my habits in creating password. For the last 4 months or so I've been using my fingerprint to access my computer.

Now, I want to use Safe Mode for a few things and find that I've totally forgotten the password I made for this (the finger print software is disabled for safe mode of course). I have my recovery disk for my laptop Toahiba p850-488 but I think I can't use it because I didn't back up my data. So now I'm without a password.

Is there any way I can change or disable my password without knowing the current password, given that I can still access my computer normally using my fingerprint?

If not, is there at least a work-around so I can access Safe Mode? Perhaps some way to use fingerprint to access safe mode?

Thank you

- Dana

Thank you for the information but I can't access my computer anymore because I totally forget my password. I used to access it with fingerprint software before I switched to safe mode. This mode requires password and does not use fingerprint software.

my device is toahiba p850-488 and comes with a built in fingerprint software.

is there any work around to access the safe mode using fingerprint? Or is there a way to change the password?
