Stuck in temporary profile WHILE system restore Wont Work

Hey guys it seems like most of the time (not always) when I update my computer I get stuck in a temporary profile just like 2 days ago. I've tried system restore which doesn't work because of my antivirus. So I disabled avast. Says the same thing. That my antivirus won't let system restore access a file. I then decided to do a system restore in advanced options (holding down shift while you press restart) I then got another error when I did this. An unidentified error occurred during system restore (0x8007051a)

Thanks for the welcome and I will check it out tomorrow since My laptop is away, but do you think I can preform a system restore once I get out of the temporary profile? Just wondering since this might happen again.

Brink, i was hoping you'd respond you seem like a celebrity on the forums lol.

You'll most likely have the same issue with system restore since your AV program is interfering with it.

Hopefully, the tutorial will be able to help. :)

It's strange because I've done multiple system restores before with avast and I've never had a problem. Maybe it's a virus? Cuz I did get a lot of avast alerts that day.

It could be, but scan your system with Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free to see if it finds anything to help determine.
So I followed the tutorial on how to exit the temporary profile and I believe it worked out good. The worst part is most of my settings are gone for example my wallpaper, my LEDs, desktop, and etc. I did preform a backup of my C: drive which is good. Im just gonna run that malwarebytes which I already had installed before (didnt even realize that for a while) and then I will try a system restore unless I shouldnt. I'll update how it goes. Thanks Brink!

So I preformed a system restore and all it restored was the LEDs and my wallpaper(gave me same message as last time though). I found a few malwares, but I got rid of them. You have a fix for the 0x8007051a error. I don't think its avast since I've always been using system restore with it. Oh and I did disable it and got the same message.

That error is usually associated with corrupted system files, but not sure since you get the same error when trying to do a system restore at boot as well. You could see if running a sfc scannow command may allow you to successfully do a system restore.

If not, then you may need to refresh Windows instead.
