How do I set up a real Guest account?

I have just enabled the Guest account on my laptop with the idea that it is completely secure from my account but it isn't really working for me. It seems to act as any other account and remembers details of the previous log-on.

Is there some way I can allow a Guest user to access internet, print (and nothing else really but it doesn't matter) and then after they have finished whatever they have done is destroyed so next time there is nothing in downloads, nothing on desktop, no preferences or log-ins saved in browsers etc. Like the temporary profile you get on occasion.

Any ideas?

You probably want to use:
Sandboxie - Sandbox software for application isolation and secure Web browsing
or
Shadow Defender - the easiest PC/laptop security and privacy protection tool. However, both are paid programs

Thanks. I should really be thinking then that Guest Account = normal account ?

I suppose I've misunderstood but what is the difference between any old acccount I set up called for example Guest1 as a limited user with no password and the built in guest account?

All I'm after is if my kids friends use my laptop as Guest user it doesn't remember what my sister-in-law was doing if she was using it last. And the other way around I guess, certainly.

If you set up a new account and you want to give it the same priviledge as the built in guest account then just open:
C:\Windows\System32\lusrmgr.msc and assign it to the 'Guests' group.

Mac OS X and Ubuntu both automatically delete a guest user’s files when the guest user logs out, providing a fresh experience for each guest user. Windows doesn’t do this. Microsoft was working on similar functionality with “Guest Mode” when they were developing Windows 7, but this feature was dropped.
