I teach elementary computer. How do you restrict the user from being able to delete apps on desktop? or restrict their admin rights.

Thanks Fore

Welcome to the forum.

Give the users only a limited account. Such an account cannot uninstall software or change system settings.
You cannot limit an admin account. All administrators have the exact same rights you do. Attempting to restrict an admin account is an exercise in futility. This is by design.

Use Windows Pro, so you can set policies. Also run the systems on a Domain Controller, so you can further implement restrictions, monitor what they are doing, etc..

I am afraid that option isn't possible. We just purchased these laptops and 8.0 software. Are their any other ways?

That should do it for you.

What kind of account?
What kind of limits do you wish to impose?
Limited accounts already have severe limits on what they can do. In most situations that is all you need.

Admin accounts cannot be limited.

It would help if you could clarify these things.

Lmiller,
I have children who use the laptops. I have set up an account that they can go in and use. I want to stop them from being able to delete apps on desktop that they have to use
