Locked and password option

Hi There

Although I have configured w8 to my liking, I still have 2 niggles that I cannot fathom.

1-I configured boot up without the need to log in with password, but now and then, for whatever reason, maybe the way I closed down, when it boots, I have to insert p/w. It also says "locked". I also have my own short cuts on desktop for shutdown and restart.

2-as far as I know, I only use a local account, and have closed the M/S account, although it takes till July before officially being closed.

3-forgot to ask, do I need to be administrator, I am the only person using this pc, and how do I check if I am/am not the administrator

sorry, but I still have problem>>>if I shutdown using my shutdown icon, no problem, but if I leave laptop running when away from screen, when I click enter to open screen, it asks for p/w and says locked.

Think I've solved it, I took the route >>control panel(icons) etc and simply moved the radio dot
