I was fiddling round with my Documents location and clicked on Users/(me) and it's renamed the folder to documents and now everything is broken, it now thinks that Documents is my Users/(me) folder so I can not change it or move it anywhere! It seems like I have over wrote my Users/(me) folder with Documents! I have moved all the other libraries that were in the folder as I didnt want them messing up.

HELP!

Heres some screen shots of what i've done.

Hello Matt, and welcome to Eight Forums.

No worries. You didn't replace your user profile folder with your Documents folder. It looks like you just moved Documents to "C:\User\Documents" now.

You should be able to use OPTION TWO in the tutorial below to restore the default location of your Documents folder.

User Folders - Restore Default Location - Windows 7 Help Forums

Hope this helps, :)
Shawn

I've looked but on step one it says to open my Users/(user-name) folder, but when I moved the documents folder I clicked on Users/(user-name) and clicked ok. The folder that is scribbled out isnt my user.

Would it be easier to create a new admin account and delete the other one? I've only recently installed windows so I have no important documents or photos on my user.

Sure, you could create and use a new account instead if you like.

If you wanted to try and repair the current account, you could skip step 1 for now, do the other steps, restart the PC, then try step 1 if your "C:\Users\(user-name)" folder is correct now and "Documents" hasn't already been restored for you.
