Solved How can I retrieve administrator username and password?

Hello, just yesterday I bought a new desktop PC which run with Win8.
At my first startup of Win 8, the PC asked me a registration on Microsoft website and a creation of administrator account.
When I did the second startup, Win 8 asked me to write the administrator password, but my password doesn't run, and also the PC's name is the same of my e-mail address and not the name that I had chose with my first registration.
So I think I made some mistake during registration and also now for me it's impossible even know the e-mail address used for the administator account registration.
On Microsoft's website I haven't found information for recover account name (the email) and password.
Before switch off the PC for the first time, fortunately I created a second account (user) on my PC, so now I have the access to the PC only like user and not like administator.
How I can solve this situation?
I haven't an important file of software on my PC (because is new and I have not had time for install nothing!).
Thanks (and sorry for my english!)

Luca

Hello Luca, and welcome to Eight Forums.

The account with an email address is a Microsoft account. You can use step 2 in OPTION TWO of the tutorial below to reset the password for it online at Microsoft.

http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/12206-microsoft-account-password-change-reset-windows-8-a.html

Hello Brink,
thanks for your quickly reply!
I already looked at this tutorial although my first problem is that I don't remember the name of my email address/Microsoft account. I had not a Microsoft account before buy Win 8 (I haven't messenger, xbox live or other), so I created the account and the Micorsoft email just yesterday, during the registration.
When I switch on my pc it appear a screen with two icons: the first is the administrator account (named ........@alice.it, it isn't the name that I chose for this account, but my email address) and under the name I can't see the mail whereby I created this account.
The second icon is the guest account (which named that I chose) and under I can see the associated mail address.
Without the administrator email address (or rather Microsoft account) for me it's impossible change the password.
In addiction I never had access to my new PC like administrator, but ever like guest/user. I can change the password or this second account without problem, but I can't do the same with the administrator account.
When I enter in the Microsoft page for retrieve and change the forgotten password (like show the tutorial), in first it ask me to write the email address that I don't remember.

In first I need to discover my email address/Microsoft account, and then change the password, but I don't know how I can discover the email address that I used for my registration...

Yeah, if you don't know the email address you used for the Microsoft account, then you're pretty much out of luck for resetting the password for that account.

You're best bet is to create a new Microsoft account, and delete the one you don't know. If you do not have an administrator account to do this from, then you may need to reinstall Windows.

Finally switching off the PC for three or four time during the initial charging I had the possibility to reset Windows 8. Obviously you lose all your personal files, but also the administrator account!
So I created a new Microsoft account and win8 work very well!
