I have been looking for a way to remove it as well. I know you can remove some of the entries under it when clicked on in the Group Policy editor but in order to completely remove it you will need to edit a DLL file I'm pretty sure.

The tweak is probably an immersive shell item that resides in a dat file and/or a registry entry somewhere. Finding it and tweaking it successfully is a whole other 'can of worms'. For what it's worth, I advise to leave it be.
What are you going to do when a search bar, clock, power button, and taskbar are added to the start screen?
Seems to be, it is quick access to lock or sign out.
You could press Ctrl Alt Del or Lock or run a screen saver, go to apps screen or desktop or....
If you like, you could disable the user account to no longer have it show on the sign in screen or Start screen without deleting the account. This way you would be able to enable it again later when you like.
There is a quick, two-step tweak you could try.
PLEASE, TRY THIS AT YOUR OWN RISK! I'm not sure of the repercussions of this tweak, if any!
Go to Control Panel►User Accounts►Change your account name, in the dialog box enter nothing by holding down the Alt key and entering 0160 on the numeric keypad then release the Alt key, Save changes.
Then, go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\User Account Pictures and change 'user-40.png' to 'user-40.backup' then restart your machine.
The 'Change account picture/Lock/Sign out' fly-out menu will still be there, you just have to hover over it.
(Just as a precaution, document any changes you make!)
