Solved user not loading! help!

I have 3 users set up, however we only use one of them. Today this user will not load, it allows you to sign in but then flashes every 3 seconds on and off, and shows only 5 tiles, so it is not loading the profile. Now when I just tried to switch users it doesn't even do that but flashes back out to the first screen so that you have to choose a user again. help! Right before this happened I did a windows update and went to bed. This is when the problem began. Not sure if they are connected. Help anyone!?

Have you tried a system restore?

I've been trying to restore to before the updates but it never completes as antivirus or something else is blocking it, have turned off AVG antivirus and trying restore for the third time now.

gave up on system restore and added a new profile and moved all files over and deleted the unstable profile. Hoping it doesn't happen again.
