I get more exasperated using Windows 8 every time I use it!
Tried to remove account logon password on my desktop but suffice to say it didn't work. Now can't access due to username/password incorrect. I know my username is right so it's the password.
Using my laptop, went to accounts.live/password/reset I tried resetting the password; getting reset code to my mobile inputting this code and changing password.
So far so good appears it's been reset.
Back to desktop to input this new password but......still incorrect. Done this twice now and still can't access desktop. What is going on? why is the reset not working?? Really would appreciate help as I'm getting fed up with windows 8 and wished I never had it
Hands up!! My mistake.....................In installing Windows 8 I incorrectly typed my Account Username (email) so a new account created. I know my eye-sight is a bit iffy but.... Anyway, once deduced problem everything explained. Now I have to found out how to remove a Microsoft account which has a non-existent email address.
