Reopen Windows account

Given the serious nature of some questions here, mine seems silly. Yesterday I received and opened up new laptop with Windows 8. New experience for me. Without realizing what it was, I set up and then closed my
Windows account. I realize now I need to keep it open. Can you tell me how to reopen the account?

Hello Mark, and welcome to Eight Forums.

If you meant that you "closed" your Microsoft account as in to deactivate it like in the tutorial below, then no worries. You can reactivate your Microsoft account by signing in it again online at Microsoft within 365 days of closing it.
