"The User Profile Service failed the sign-in." HELP.

Hi, I'm new to the forums and haven't found a thread with the same problem.
My HP Pavilion g6 laptop loads to the log-in screen and I know I'm typing in the correct password but it just comes up with the same message.

"The User Profile Service failed the sign-in. User profile cannot be loaded."

I've tried different tutorials, maybe I'm doing them wrong I don't know, but nothing seems to be working.

I recently changed my password so I could log into Xbox Live.

If you could help me out I'd be really grateful. I've never had this problem before.
