Solved password reset not available

I setup my account so that I do not have to enter a password when starting windows. Excellent tutorial on this site for setting it up. Works great. I wanted to make a password reset disk but after I do a search in settings and that option shows up, when I click on it nothing happens. Do I have to change the account back to where a sign in is required before I can make the password reset disk?

If you are using a Microsoft account instead of a local account, then you will not have an option to create a password reset disk. Only a local account will have that option available.

For a Microsoft account, you could use the method in the tutorial below to change or reset it's password at any time without the need of a password reset disk.

Interesting. I may figure out Windows 8 yet. I was under the impression when I did the upgrade that I had to establish a Microsoft account. What I would to see if there is a way to enter the password when I go to the App store. That makes more sense to me.
