Solved No admin account on computer

Hello, my issue is... well i've never had it before.

When i upgraded my Windows from 7 to 8 it seem like it gave an unknown user admin rights, while my users are "normal" users. this prevents me from doing anything on my computer, and more specificaly, work.

what kind of work are you trying to do, which computer won't allow?
Are you sure your Account Type is Administrator?

IF not go to Control Panel > Click on User Account and Family Safety > Click on Change Account Type.

First of all, currently im just using my computer to write documents and such, but the computer wont allow me to install any Word programs

i am positive that my account is not the administrator. whenever i og into User Account and Family Safety it just tells me to log into the Administrator.

I currently have 2 accounts on this PC, one network based user and one local and neither one is administrator.

My best bet will be to switch one of the accounts to an Admin account, but i think even if you are standard user, you could use admin password to install/make changes to applications. (Maybe I could be wrong, but its worth a try).

well, the issue is that the admin password is unknown. it was set on an network based admin account at work, but the IT guy has no clue to what the password is. so a nogo there

SOLVED:

I found out of the problem.

I simply were trying to gain admin rights on an account not on my computer, but on an network domain at work.
I went into safe mode and gave my local profile admin rights and use it instead.
