Information
This will show you how to resize Windows Store app tiles to be smaller or larger on your Windows 8 "Start" screen.

This does not include the non-Metro Windows 8 system file apps or installed program apps. The Metro apps have custom-designed colorful tiles, while the tiles for non-Metro apps are basically just squares with the app name and icon.
Here's How:
1. Open the Start screen. NOTE: You can do this by pressing the Windows key .
2. To Make a Larger Windows Store App Tile Smaller
A) Right click on only one larger Windows Store app tile to select (check) it. (see screenshot below) NOTE:If you selected more than one Windows Storeapp tile or the wrong one by mistake, then you could right click on it again to unselect it.
B) Click on the Smaller option at the bottom. NOTE: Some Metro apps may not have a Smaller option.
3. To Make a Smaller Windows Store App Tile Larger
A) Right click on only one smaller Windows Store app tile to select (check) it. (see screenshot below) NOTE:If you selected more than one Windows Storeapp tile or the wrong one by mistake, then you could right click on it again to unselect it.
B) Click on the Larger option at the bottom. NOTE: Some Metro apps may not have a Larger option.

Hello Bryan,
It still works the same in Windows 8 Release Preview. Double check that you only have the single Metro app tile that you want to change selected (checked). It will not work if there is more than one app checked. Not all apps will have this feature available. It's up to the app developer to include it or not. I noticed that the Metro Internet Explorer, Store, Maps, SkyDrive, and Camera app tiles do not anymore.
