Windows Phone 8 Airplane Mode - Turn On or Off

How to Turn On or Off Airplane Mode in Windows Phone 8

information   Information
Airlines often require that you turn off connectivity on your phone during flights. Airplane mode is a setting on your phone that lets you turn off the cellular connection, Wi-Fi, FM radio, Bluetooth, and near field communication (NFC) sharing on your phone simultaneously. This way you can use other apps (including ones that let you listen to music or watch videos that are on your phone) that don't require a cellular connection.

This tutorial will show you how to turn on or off Airplane mode on your Windows Phone 8.

Note   Note
While you have Airplane mode turned on, you can still turn on Wi-Fi, FM radio, Bluetooth, and NFC sharing separately. Cellular remains off until you turn Airplane mode off.

Depending on your mobile operator, phone model, and version of the Windows Phone operating system, FM radio may not be available on your phone.
While you have Airplane mode turned on, you will see the Airplane system-icon-airplane-mode.png icon on the status bar at the top of your phone like below.

Here's How:

1. On your Windows Phone 8, open the app list, and tap on Settings. (see screenshot below)
