Windows 8 Log Collector is a standalone exe file that will help you to easily collect the log files for MSINFO32, Minidump, event logs, host file, and Internet Explorer in Windows 8.

The collected log files will be displayed on your desktop in a W8 folder.

   Tip

On most occasions we will ask you to click "Grab All". Run the individual options only if we ask you to do so.

Q: I'm getting an Unhandled exception while running the Tool

A: Your getting this error is because you haven't Elevated the program i.e. you haven't ran the program as administrator follow this tutorial for more information Run as administrator.

Q: Nothing happens while I click on the Tool

A: Most probably your Antivirus / Firewall might be blocking the Tool from running so it's recommend to disable your Antivirus / Firewall and then run the Tool again. Also right click on the Tool go to Properties and under General Tab see it has an option "Unblock" if so click on unblock then try again

Q: When I open the application it's asking to download .NET Frameworks 4.0

A: This application is build with .NET Frameworks 4.0 so you need to download .NET Frameworks 4.0 from Microsoft's website.

How To:

- Download the W8 Log Collector ZIP file and extract the EXE file
- Right click on the extracted W8 Log Collector.exe file and click on Run as administrator
- Click on Grab All
- Now go to your Desktop and right click on W8 folder and click on Send To -> Compressed folder
- Upload it to your post if you like
