Dual Boot Windows 7 and Windows 8 - Delete Windows 8

  1. #50

After I deleted the partition that I installed Windows 8, why it didn't change back to an unallocated space but a logical drive instead? I can't extend the volume now... Please help! Thanks in advance.

Could you please post back with a screenshot of your Disk Management window showing your full disks layout? This will help us give more accurate advice.

hi there, just want to ask some question here,
I install my windows 7 on C and my windows 8 on my D. if I follow all of this step, does that mean my D will be completely deleted? since I store some of my item on D and it will take a while to copy it on hard disk. and do you know an easy way to upgrade my windows 7 to windows 8 instate of uninstall it 1st then upgrade it through the windows upgrade? I like to use the windows 8 but it seem that all the game and app that I install on windows 7 need to be reinstall back even though I install most of them in E. Sorry for such a dummy question. Thank you.

Note: You may need to do startup repair 3 to 4 times.

    2 installs of Windows 8?

    Hello.
I have a similar issue where it looks like the screen shot at the beginning of the thread. Only there are two windows 8 icons.
There is a short pause during boot up asking which version to boot to. (The default is installed correctly).
When I select the second version there is an error message that it hasn't installed correctly. This is the version I would like to remove.
I checked Disc Management as it has been previously suggested in the thread and there was only one partition on the drive and I can't see from this view what is installed on it.
Any suggestions how I can remove the version that hasn't been installed properly?
    Thank you
