    Hello Mizukage,

It sounds like you should be able to without issue, but please go ahead and post a screenshot showing the full layout of your Disk Management (diskmgmt.msc) screen to help make sure.

    Hi Brink,
I have a win-8 Upgrade activation key No disk but I'm scared downloading with the upgrade advisor to download win-8 it's going to replace my win-7 with win-8

I'm looking to use the dual boot keeping win-7 untarnished
The trouble I see is the exact downloading procedure of win-8,
    I have my flashdrive ready,
    I have my Drive F partition created 80 gig's

    I need instructions like I'm a 4y.o.
FWIW I got the activation key from Robin of 7f vip room ?
    Cheers for any help.
The work around makes more sense than the downloading instructions

    Hey Mike,

You should be able to download a Windows 8 ISO file using Option Two in the tutorial below without it affecting Windows 7. Just be sure to select Install by creating media at step 7 to get the ISO file and not install over Windows 7.

Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 ISO - Download or Create

Afterwards, since this is an upgrade Windows 8, you can follow the tutorial on the first page to install Windows 8 to dual boot with your Windows 7.

Do you mean option 2 in this tutorial ?http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/18309-windows-8-windows-8-1-iso-download-create.html

I don't see how this other link would download win-8 ?

Replace Vista with 8 on dual boot PC
I have a Vista and Win 7 dual boot desktop. I want to replace Vista with 8. Is it just a case of booting into Vista and running the 8 install DVD as I did when I upgraded to 8 on my Win 7 laptop? What chance is there of the process screwing up booting into 7 Do you recommend any precautions?
