    How!?
I'm having the same problem as yowanvista. Running 64bit vista as host. Trying to install 32 bit win8. Have a sony vaio desktop which apparently doesn't have hardware virtualisation.

The only thing I can think of is that there might be some issue with Vista being the host with a Windows 8 guest (VM). ??

How much memory do you have set for the VM? You might not have enough. You need at least 1GB for 32-bit and 2GB for 64-bit Windows 8.

That was my thought but I allocated 2gig.I've gone ahead and installed it on a separate partition as a dual boot now just need to add the boot entry back for 7.
    All good fun

Under Windows 7 professional 32 bit I've had to check "Enable IO APIC" under System Tab to let Win 8 64 boot... Anyone else?
