Add or Remove Default Items from Folder Options "View" Tab in Windows 8 and 8.1

This tutorial will show you how to add (restore) or remove the default Advanced settings items from within the View tab in Folder Options for all users in Windows 8 and 8.1.

You must be signed in as an administrator to be able to do this tutorial.

Here's How:

1. In the table below, click/tap on the add or remove Download button for the setting you want to download it's .reg file.

2. Save the .reg file to your desktop.

3. Double click/tap on the .reg file to merge it.

4. If prompted by UAC, click/tap on Yes.

If open, close and reopen Folder Options to see the change.

6. When finished, you can delete the downloaded .reg file if you like.
