Internet Explorer (InPrivate) Browsing shortcut - Create in Windows 8

How to Create an Internet Explorer InPrivate Browsing Shortcut in Windows 8 and 8.1

information   Information
InPrivate Browsing helps prevent Internet Explorer from storing data about your browsing session. This includes cookies, temporary Internet files, history, and other data. Toolbars and extensions are disabled by default.

This tutorial will show you how to create or download a Internet Explorer (InPrivate) Browsing shortcut that opens IE on your desktop with Inprivate turned on in Windows 8, Windows RT, Windows 8.1, and Windows RT 8.1.

download
2. Save the .zip file to your desktop.
3. Open the .zip file and extract (drag and drop) the Internet Explorer (InPrivate) shortcut to the desktop.
4. For the first time that you run the shortcut, uncheck the Always ask before opening this file box, and click/tap on Open to unblock the shortcut.
5. If you like, you can Pin to Taskbar on desktop, Pin to Start screen, add to Quick Launch, assign a keyboard shortcut to it, or move this shortcut to where you like for easy use.
6. When finished, you can delete the downloaded .zip file on the desktop if you like, or save it to use again.

OPTION TWO

To Manually Create an "Internet Explorer (InPrivate)" Shortcut

1. Right click or press and hold on a empty area of the desktop, and click/tap on New and Shortcut.
2. Copy and paste the command below into the location area, and click/tap on the Next button. (see screenshot below)
"%ProgramFiles%\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -private
Tip   Tip
To have an IE (InPrivate) shortcut that opens directly to a specific website, you can add the website's address after -private. For example, to have it open to Eight Forums, I would use this location:

Code:
"%ProgramFiles%\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -private [URL]http://www.eightforums.com/[/URL]

Shortcut-1.jpg
3. Type Internet Explorer (InPrivate) for the name, and click/tap on the Finish button. (see screenshot below)
NOTE: You can name this shortcut anything you would like though.

4. If you like, you can Pin to Taskbar on desktop, Pin to Start screen, add to Quick Launch, assign a keyboard shortcut to it, or move this shortcut to where you like for easy use.

That's it,
Shawn
