Wacom Bamboo like function in Win 8.1 computer...possible?

Is there a piece of software that could make my 8.1 touchscreen computer function like a Wacom Bamboo ? I am looking for some software that I can easily mark up text to a photo or make a simple sketch to send using a pen. I am trying to avoid adding another device .

Wacom is hardware based, not software. The purpose of Wacom is so you can draw and write on the screen using a stylus and it kind of recreates a real pen feel.

Not all screens support Wacom.

Now, that is not to say you can't draw on the screen using capacitive stylus. It is good for basic tasks. But, if you're accustom to Wacom, you will probably be unhappy with a capacitive stylus.

Paint programs allow you to draw on images. There are plenty of paint programs in the Microsoft store and of course, there is MSPaint which is not too shabby which comes with Windows.

OK. It looks like the best I can do without adding hardware is to use the Inking function of my TouchSmart computer. So now I need to look for a decent capacitive pen. Tks

Since you did not include the type of tablet you had I could not say one way or another if it supported Wacom.

A quick Google search for just "Touchsmart" reveals Wacom drivers. Not sure if this is specific for YOUR Tocuhsmart or not but I suspect it would be.

I would contact the manufacturer of your tablet and specifically ask if the screen supports Wacom.

You can pickup a Wacom pen for cheap. There's one right now on Newegg for like $26. They run between $30 and $40 typically on Amazon.

I was asking about my main computer which is a HP Envy Recline 23 .

I am sure this computer's screen does not support WACOM pens. I think the WACOM drivers are there basically for the Wacom tablet to work with Win8.1 .

I need to find myself a decent capacitive stylus.
