Hello everyone,

I recently got the surface Pro running on full windows. Since I am mostly on the desktop environment, I noticed an obvious problem with the touch screen.

All the icons are tiny and packed together. I can't pick an icon without accidentally picking the wrong button. Is this common problem?

Is there an on-screen mouse I can install? How have other users solve this problem?

Thank you.

Hello Blazer, and welcome to Eight Forums.

If you like, the stylus pen would be good to use for smaller items that touch doesn't work so well with. :)

Check out TouchMousePointer at TouchMousePointer - virtual touchpad (on-screen mouse)

I've been using this for a couple of months on my Dell Venue 8 Pro and have found it quite useful. I've experimented with its various mode and find that most of the time the Full Screen mode works best for me. YMMV.

HA, thanks for the heads up.

I was actually going to start using that but I got put off by the its interface. I did some more research and I found another virtual touchpad called Appymouse which looks more native to my screen. I downloaded it from here Appymouse - A tool for easy usage of apps on Windows 8 tablets and touch screen devices

Lets hope we get to a time when we won't need third party apps for these kinds of issues!!
