    Words With Friends Tablet Version?

Does anybody know if this is available anywhere or if it is at least in the works? If not are there any work around apps that will allow me to connect and play with people using the real apps?

I wonder why there is no Windows App for that popular game? Since Windows 8 is trying to succeed it is things like this that are holding it back in my opinion.

This may sound petty to some but if I was addicted to Words With Friends I would simply put my Win 8 tablet down and pick my Android/IOS tablet back up.

This is probably just 1 of several areas where Win 8 is not gaining popularity.

    Good game.

No doubt one of the drawbacks of 8 is MS coming late to the game with their Store and Modern apps. Apple and Google were not an overnight success with there's. I think we should give them time to get this off the ground.

And if Google and Apple were successful, why not Microsoft? Yes?

Absolutely. I'm loving Windows 8 on my Lenovo Tablet! I'm going to ride it out for a while no doubt. I downloaded Words For Friends from the Windows Store in hopes but it looks like a cheap knock off that just won't connect to anybody playing Words With Friends and it just doesn't make sense to me why there would be a "pretend" version in the Store?

    But time will tell...

I checked it out, do you find any of the problems that are posted on amazon? and how do you like it. It is least expensive of any of the other Windows Pro tablets, so I was wondering why, I am looking around for one, my b day is in July and I would like to get one but I do not want to pay $889 for it

Well there are actually several different options available that I tried before settling on this Lenovo Thinkpad 2. I tried the Acer W510 but I didn't like the keyboard dock or the fact that the screen wouldn't work with the Wacom digitizer pen style stylus. So I tried the Ativ 500 and it was good except the keyboard dock was a really tight fit and would not be connected some time when you thought that it was. And it was also 11.5 inches and that got too big in places like church and traveling in the car. So it was between the Thinkpad 2 and the Elitepad 900. Both of those run in the $575 - $650 range on Amazon without the keyboard dock and I decided I didn't want a dock as I'll just use my simple slim Bluetooth keyboard that fits neatly in my bag. I am getting the $89 dock that adds several USBs and a full HDMI port along with a 2nd charger. Amazon.com: Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 2 Dock - 0B47109: Computers & Accessories
