Rule hierarchy between AppLocker, EMET, and Family Safety?

In the past I have used Software Restriction Policy (SRP) on Windows computers to make things a little more secure. But since Win8.1Update Enterprise 64bit has more security options available in it (AppLocker, EMET, and Family Safety account App Restrictions) I would like to understand how to properly implement those instead of SRP.

In my brief attempts to configure the 3 security measures on the same machine, I found they tend to hammer each other's configuration (changing the configuration of one seemed to change the configuration of another). Unfortunately after days of searching the Internet I have not been able to find any clear information, as although articles suggest running AppLocker, EMET, and Family Safety account App Restrictions at the same time they never give any details on the order of configuration you should proceed in.

So, can anyone point me to a best practices guide for configuring AppLocker, EMET, and Family Safety account App Restrictions such that they complement each other rather then conflict with each other?
Also, is there a rule hierarchy between AppLocker, EMET, and Family Safety account App Restrictions that Win8.1Update uses?
