Pull the drive & place it in a caddy or get a USB to SATA adapter, to run the clean up process on that drive from another machine.

This post won't help any but I remember back several years ago when a virus made my computer nonstop reboot itself. It was way back when I had windows xp as a OS I think.

I recently dealt with a 8.1 laptop infected with this and tried all the posted fixes I could find and watched plenty of videos on youtube.

What worked for me in the end after 3 days of trying was changing the boot order in bios then using Kaspersky Rescue CD (downloaded and created on another pc) to run a full scan (make sure all boxes are ticked). At the point I was just about to give up it found and removed something which then allowed me in to the system normally and able to run further virus scans with both Avast and Malwarebytes which both found and removed different things. Finally got a clean system.

I have some links which hopefully will help you. D/L the recommended tools on a clean computer, as d/l ing them on the infected one could compromise the integrity of the program.

In the future, you may wish to consider making a system image. In case disaster strikes, this can mean the difference between loosing your files/OS & restoring it. Ransomware is fairly rampant on the net today & it's best to have a good backup.
