    Final Say on Secure boot...

I've been reading a lot on this forum about everybody saying "disable secure boot" and turn off this and that.. i keep reading about turn legacy on.. blah blah blah..

    - SO Can windows 8.1 be clean installed with "secure boot" turned ON and UEFI and all the safe/secure options in the bios turned on?!!??

**on any and all computer bought AFTER 2013.
(because assuming they can handle secureboot and whatever latest bios of today..)

But at times, because of secure boot the proper security keys are not installed into the uefi firmware - and thus you have to disable secure boot to allow widows to re-write the security keys

Sorry if I'm barging in. If I should start a new thread please say so.

    My question:
I have a new laptop with pre-installed Windows 8.1 and am just now reading this thread. I assume I have secure boot.

    A. How do I find out?
    B. Should I disable it now?
    C. My Windows 8.1 did not come with installation disks and I don't really want to go through re-installing Windows and redoing my customizations.

    What should I do?

Check your BIOS settings and disable it if you want.
