Hello,
I do not seem to be able to turn off Windows Firewall on Windows 8. At least, I can turn it off, but then Network detection automatically switches on. I would like to turn both network detection and windows firewall off, but I cannot seem to find the reason why that is not possible.
I have a third party firewall installed, that I why I don't want Windows Firewall to be enabled. I first thought that perhaps my other Firewall was the reason that network detection automatically switches on, so I tried to uninstall my firewall, and then I tried to turn off windows firewall, but then network detection switches on again. If I turn network detection off again then windows firewall turns on again.
So either I turn off windows firewall and network detection switches on, or I turn off network detection and windows firewall turns on. I would like to disable both and only turn on my third party firewall. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
