By default anything listed as "suspicious" isn't deleted. You'll have to investigate that to see if it is a malicious file or not. Just looking at it, I would say probably not.
You can d/l a copy of Win 8 or 8.1, here is the tutorial.
Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 ISO - Download or Create
Create Bootable USB or DVD with Windows 8 ISO
Clean Install - Windows 8
The other option is, if your PC has a recovery partition, you can use that to restore it to factory specs like when it came out of the box. They are all different so you'll have to Google your make/model to see the process involved in doing that.If you purchased Windows 8/8.1 and have a "retail" Windows 8/8.1 product key, then this tutorial will show you how to create or download an upgrade Windows 8 ISO or full Windows 8.1 Update ISO file.
You must be signed in as an administrator to be able to do the steps in this tutorial.
You will need to have your Windows 8 or 8.1 product key number from your retail box package OR online order information in the confirmation email for your purchase.
For example, if you purchased Windows 8 or 8.1 online using the "Windows 8/8.1 Upgrade Assistant".
You'll have to go to your manufacturers site to find the exact procedure. Sometimes, you just need to hit one of the F buttons while booting to go into recovery mode, other times they send a bootable recovery CD that you use. If you have a recovery partition present, then it's more then likely hitting something like F12 during the boot screen to go into the recovery options..
Oh yeah, midterms are coming up aren't they? Wish you lots of luck on the tests. I always tried to take as many online, go at your own pace classes as I could so I could knock out the assignments ASAP & then I could concentrate on the testing part. Most of the time by mid terms I had all the homework done for the entire semester (that's my ADHD though, but it was nice to get them out of the way)
I hope you get things sorted out & everything is up & running well soon. Let us know if you need any help on anything, the tutorial section here has many, many useful bits of information on many items, give that a browse sometime. Have a good weekend.
