I can not disable DEP after several tries

Hi everyone,brilliant forum and community.
Here is my problem,i tried to add the program in'Turn on DEP for all programs expect for those i select' but i get a pop up that says it can't be disabled, so i've used this command 'bcdedit.exe /set {current} nx AlwaysOff' in CMD but i get this message back 'The boot configuration data store could not be opened.Access is denied.'

It sounds like you may not have used the command in an elevated command prompt. See if the tutorial below may help.

Hi brick,i did run CMD as an admin but now i get a different message ,here it is 'An error has occuured setting the element data.The value is protected by Secure Boot policy and cannot be modified or deleted'

Ah, ok. You'll need to temporarily disable Secure Boot in your UEFI settings, disabled DEP, then enable Secure Boot again.

Ty brick i've finally got it,really a helpful guy,and is it okay if i keep secure boot disabled?

You could keep secure boot disabled, but it would be recommended to enable it for better security.
