    Microsoft System Center Endpoint Protection.

Is Microsoft System Center Endpoint Protection any better at protecting my PC than Microsoft Windows Defender or Security Essentials or are its malware and virus protection capabilities the same?

Microsoft System Center 2012 protects all Windows-based servers, desktops, laptops, mobile devices and compatible Linux- and Unix-based servers. It includes exceptional data protection and powerful management tools, and can administer thousands of endpoints regardless of location.
If your employees are allowed open access to the internet and the ability to download at will, you should know that Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE), which supports the internet security for Microsoft System Center, has been known to be an underperformer. However, if you enforce strict usage polices, you can centrally control security, essentially negating the weak spots in MSE.

This Microsoft enterprise endpoint protection solution securely locks down endpoints and provides compliance-level data-loss prevention. In the past year, Microsoft has have added BYOD security technologies and Mac security to help protect all devices that may have network access. Available options include on-premise, cloud-based, virtualized or hybrid environments, so it can support a variety of architectures and is scalable to secure large organizations.

I was hoping it was going to be a lot more robust than Windows Defender which is not recommended in most Anti Virus head to head reviews!
