Hi all... Anyone on here using ESET NOD32 Antivirus? (latest version 7) I am trying it out at the moment on my laptop, it seems nice so far, the only downside is that startup is a little slow but I think thats due to the syncing with my school's network (Office 365/SkyDrive Pro) that goes on at startup, not NOD32 itself. I also have at the moment a Norton 360 subscription for 3 PCs (all licenses are in use) which is expiring in about a month or so, so I will be deciding to renew with ESET or Norton... ESET is alot cheaper and a friend has recommended it, and it is also used at my school, so I wanted to see what you guys think. I need a paid A/V as I find the free ones a pain in the arse with constantly bugging me to buy the pro versions, etc, but otherwise they are very good. And no I won't use MSE, it has let more viruses through than I can count!

I've been using it for years (since ver 4) and it has been working fine for me. It feels light, I haven't been infected, and it doesn't get in the way. I'm happy...

Awesome thanks! I have found Norton to be good, but very expensive, and a resource hog compared to ESET. And with ESET at $89.99 for 2 years and 3 PCs i'm tempted... One question, if you have been buying it online, what does the price eventually come to with tax and all. I ask because I don't have a credit card so I have to buy a prepaid visa to buy it, so gotta make sure I have enough on the card.
Thanks :)

Oh yeah I only ever run one AV at a time. Funnily I used to run avast and was tired of everyday seeing "Seasonal sale! Upgrade to Avast! Internet Security and recieve 50% off" or something to that effect. Which is why I switched to paid AV. Easier to "set it and forget it" with paid options.

I don't recall the price/tax at the moment, I buy the 1 year, 3 PC license.

Ah. Why the one year if you have been ESET for a while ? I was gonna go 2 year as its cheaper in the long run, and less messing with as I will be using one of the licenses on my grandmothers computer, and she lives back home in Malta so kind of hard to change things around, although she has teamviewer.
