I have been using Kaspersky for about 4-5 years up to now, but recently deleted it and opened up Wiundows Defender, a better variant of Microsoft Security Essentials. I was paying for Kaspersky Internet Suite and it never, ever showed me one result.
My grandson plays games online and they were checked by me but occasionally he would click on another and cause a 'bug' to come down the line. Spent a while cleaning them out too!!
Anyway, Defender up and running, grandson on the pc, and he clicked on one of these 'other offers' and immediately Defender came up and told me 'oh no your not, its bugged!!'
So bye bye Kaspersky, you never worked.
as for a recent question in here about whether to use McAfee or Norton. When I bought my pc; the first thing I did was uninstall Norton, same for two laptops. Norton is VERY heavy software to use and is takes over such a large amount of the relevant system. Not only that but not many people know but it plants a spyware software hidden in the symantec folder which is NOT deleted on uninstall. but it can be manually deleted if you know its there. norton then continue to monitor your usage even when its not in the computer.
