Hi,
I may have a virus on my PC and just wanted to get some opions.

I just turned on my PC and then a pop up saying that some sort of virus thing was turned off in Action centre.

I then tried to open action centre and it said it could not open.

After that the PC restarted itself, and seems to be going fine.

I ran a full and quick scan using windows defender.

Do you think i may have a virus?

Sounds like the notice in action center was that your antivirus protection/ Windows Defender was turned off, which can happen occasionally.

Recommend you download malwarebytes and run another scan.

In addition to the tools suggested, it wouldn't hurt to run TDSSKiller to check for possible rootkits.

Norton Power Eraser - please use caution when utilizing this tool.

Because Norton Power Eraser uses aggressive methods to detect threats, there is a risk that it can select some legitimate programs for removal. If you accidently remove a legitimate program, you can run Norton Power Eraser to review past repair sessions and undo them.
