Solved Disabling file and printer sharing for microsoft networks

If I disable file and printer sharing for microsoft networks under network and sharing, will it make me safer?

Also would disabling NetBios over TCP/IP make me safer?

I have file/printer sharing disabled on my laptop. No sense letting just anyone in via WiFi. Netbios I'm not sure if it's really used anymore. I'll let someone else speak to it.

Something odd I've noticed with file/printer sharing, I've noticed two different ways to disable/enable it.

then I noticed a 2nd way, by going to adapter settings, right clicking, then click properties, then you see that it has a box ticked that says 'File and printer sharing for Microsoft Networks', Screenshot: Screenshot by Lightshot
