Solved something was installed on my laptop and don't know it !

Hello !
today ! I decided to shut down my laptop sony vaio and schedule scan boot with avast internet security.
I noticed that the windows requires me not to shut down my laptop the the configuration is done. I knew it's something which has to do with windows update, but I already set it to manual !
how can I know what was the last thing that was installed on my computer?
I already checked Programs and windows updates and found nothing, I don't know what was installed on my laptop?

When you open Windows Update, you can view a list of installed updates and the order they were installed in by date.

I did, but I didn't find the date of today. but I'm sure something was installed.

if something was installed a little while back but the system was never restarted, most of the time it records the inital update date and not the re-configure date (when you actually restarted your system to apply the changes). What is the earliest date listed?

I see what you mean JLyman. but after every update I restart or shut down my laptop according to what is required.
I configured my laptop to notify me of every single thing happens on it, however, this is the only and the first time something was installed without my knowledge.
the earliest date list of the update is 23/04/2013 and the latest is 24/04/2013.
and for other programs it is 03/05/2013.
by the way, I have Sony Vaio, and I had a problem with VAIO UPDATE, the udpate doesn't work because the server is down according to the error message. but after something was installed, Vaio Update works again. I'm not sure if this has to do with what was installed.
