Action center issues

I have Kaspersky 2013 installed on my computer, and when I open the program it says that everything is operating fine and my system is protected. However I have 3 action center alerts saying that I have no active network firewall, virus protection, or spyware protection. When I click view apps, and try to turn on kaspersky through the action center, it doesn't turn on. The little circle thing goes around the cursor like it's trying to turn on, but it still says "off" and has the alert. But like I said, if I open Kaspersky it says that everything is protected.

Is this a just windows failing to see that kaspersky is on?

jmg,

Please try the following:

Un-register, and then register the following .dll file: WMIUTILS.DLL

  • Press Win and X
  • Click on: Command Prompt (Admin)
  • At the Command Prompt, copy/paste: regsvr32 /u WMIUTILS.DLL
  • Restart the computer.
  • Once again at the Command Prompt, copy/paste: regsvr32 WMIUTILS.DLL
  • Restart the computer again.

Go to the Action Center and see if it reports your security software correctly.

Post back, please.
