Hello everyone! :geek:

There is a folder in my DATA (D:) drive called '1e42ab03aa7144cdba8d91e53d8ee2', it seems to be an 'application', but with SYSTEM permissions? Here's a picture of the folder -

strange folder.png

as you can see, there are bmp files and lots of different folders. I have tried adding myself to all the permissions, but for some reason, I get 'Access Denied' when I try adding permissions!

I never had this UGA problem back in Windows 7, could someone else me? This folder is getting on my nerves. I know it's unnecessary to worry about it but it's just.. strange!

I want to know what this is.. but because of permissions, I can't open the bmp files. They would show exactly what it is! 'watermark.bmp', 'splashscreen.bmp'.

Thank you. :thumb: :geek:

It's a temp folder that an MS installer created during the unpacking of an update. Nothing to worry about. You might be able to take ownership of it and delete it that way.
