I have just download MSE on the Windows 8 Developer Preview and it works just fine as it should. Currently running a scan on it.

Found MSE unnecessary now to the fact that MSE is already integrated into the Windows 8 OS.

Well, I uninstalled MSE now and Windows Defender is back on again.
