Windows Defender

Good morning. I'm using Win8 CP Build 8250 Evaluation copy and the reason why is because it's the last Beta
to be compatible with my Pentium 4 CPU in my Dell OptiPlex GX 260 . The question is why my Windows Defender is active but will NOT update anymore? Nor my Windows Updates? Is this because it's no longer the latest Build being succeeded by RTM Build 9200 ? I would imagine so. Please confirm. Goodday.

Yes, Microsoft is no longer issuing any updates for DP, CP, or RP builds, including virus definitions.
