I have a Prelude card too and I'm about to install Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation. What's the problem? Is it that it just won't install or that it installs and doesn't work or work with issues? That's a real bummer and I really hate what Auzentech did to us customers. :(

What's the story on that? Checking my email, I bought a Prelude 11/2007, eBay'd it 11/2008. I ended up going with mobo audio for my HTPC/general PC and an X-Fi for my gaming PC.

BTW, did you tried Windows 7 Compatibility Mode while installing?

Damn! I guess I'll have to use the onboard soundcard then. I hope it is supported after all. It's an ALC-888 from a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L board. :(

So, I installed Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation and the Auzentech Prelude works! Yes, everything I've tried works as it should, DDL, DTS, etc. The only drawback is that it reverts to Game Mode after every reboot. But I pay no mind to that.

Just make use you use "Windows 7 compatibility" and "Run as administrator" when installing.
