Choppy sounds in Windows 8.1

Hey guys,

I usually am able to solve most of the issues alone when it's computer related. I'm not an expert in this kind of stuff, but this is beginning to frustrate me more than anything else.

It seems with the recent Windows updates (between December 2015 and March 2016), there has been an increase in lag and stuttering sounds. I used some kind of fix which involved changing NDU from 2 to 4. That fixed the problem for 5 days maybe, and it came back. During this week, I even sought help on Windows forums, in where I updated my Wifi and audio drivers, and that seemed to fix the issue, but only for two days.

I don't know what else to do, or how to fix this. The stuttering in music or movies gives me a headache and it's hard to concentrate. I see in my Device Manager that I have 4 different sound controllers: Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 (headphones, they work fine on other computers), Nvidia Virtual Audio Device, Nvidia high definition audio and Realtek high definition audio.

At this point of desperation I really hope someone can help me to fix the issue once for all, otherwise, I'll be forced to a full system restore and start anew.

Thank you.
